As we round out 2023, it’s important for us to recognize the person that (tries to) keep us all healthy! December’s Teacher Feature is Nurse Cayla Black!
Nurse Black is a proud WPHS graduate from the class of 2006. She attended Northern Community College and earned an associate’s degree in 2011, and she attended West Liberty University earning a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2013.
Nurse Black has been working as a nurse in a variety of capacities for 12 years, including in a hospital, home health, and now, as a school nurse. She’s been in Ohio County Schools since 2019.
Nurse Black loves many things about nursing, but her favorite part is helping others: ”I truly enjoy helping people whether that be helping with aches/pains, dressing a wound, or making them smile and laugh!”
Nurse Black works both at Bridge Street and at Triadelphia. She does amazing work at both middle schools! At BSMS, she is fond of our staff and students! “I love working at BSMS! The students and the staff are amazing and make coming to work so enjoyable!”
In Nurse Black’s spare time, she enjoying being with her two children, Parker and Brody, her husband Matt, and her family and friends. She also really enjoys reading and baking!
Thank you Nurse Black for all you do for our staff and students! We are lucky to have you as a member of the BSMS family!
