Today during Street Time, a daily mentoring and character education period, Bridge Street students used their words for good. Each student had a square with their name in it, squares were passed around the room, and students wrote positive and encouraging words.
It was great to see all of the smiles!

Bridge Street students heard from local K9 units today!



BSMS Careers class students had a guest speaker, Nurse Practitioner Jessica Franke, who came into Mrs. Beighle’s class to share her experiences in the medical field!


BSMS Steel Band students had a blast at Steel Band Fest today!





Mrs. Beighle’s FLEX class played the game Boggle and wrote down as many words they could find on Friday. On Monday, students will translate their words to Spanish. One group had a Boggle set that had words instead of letters and were able to create two-three word statements to translate!


BSMS Steel Band students had an amazing opportunity to work with legendary steel pannist, Victor Provost! The event was sponsored by West Virginia’s Percussive Arts Society. Thank you to JMHS for being such wonderful hosts! Thank you to Wheeling Arts & Cultural Commission and WPHS Band for your contribution!
If you’d like to hear the ensembles and Mr. Provost perform, the JMHS Steel Band Festival is tomorrow, Saturday, March 18! Doors open at noon and the festival begins at 1pm. Hope to see you there!





8th grade students reviewed schedules with their WPHS ccounselors in preparation for high school next year!

Seventh grade BSMS students had a blast taking a trip to the Carnegie Museum of Natural History!
