
Ms. Ritz’s seventh grade students are preparing for math zombie races!






Bridge Street’s sixth grade students reviewed exponents today with a game of Jeopardy in Ms. Sims’ class!



Today’s Street Time lesson was about perspective, with an ink blot exercise, and rumors, by playing a game of telephone.
Students learned about viewing situations differently and how to squash false rumors when they arise.



Mr. Dague’s Street Industry, Le Marche Du Diable, went to Oglebeayfest this morning to research setting up a proper market, in preparation of their upcoming marketplace event!




BSMS 7th grade students presented their descriptive food truck menus from Mrs. Safreed’s ELA class and their food truck designs from Ms. Jones’ art class today. Food truck items were able to be “purchased” with BSMS bucks. Thank you to all of the teachers who made this happen, the families who were able to attend, the central office and community members who were able to join us, and the students for their hard work!
It was a great experience!

It’s midterm time, and Bridge Street’s Street Time conferences are in full swing!
Teacher mentors and students meet weekly to individually review their grades, missing work, focuses for the week, attendance, and behavior. This is a great way opportunity for a regular “check-in” and some one-on-one time!



Wheeling Heritage’s program manager Alexandra Panas came to speak with our 8th grade Career Awarness class to discuss a career in Marketing and the various opportunities in Wheeling. Thank you, Alex!

7th grade students at BSMS had the opportunity to explore the Flight 93 National Memorial in Somerset County this afternoon. With the help of National Park Ranger, Mr. Gregory, our students learned about, the events and heroic actions that took place on September 11th, 2001.

Office Giusto was a guest speaker in the 7th grade language art classes on Friday discussing his time in the army in preparation for the students taking a field trip to the Flight 93 Memorial on Monday, September 25.



Mrs. Schultz's Theater students are so excited to share their progress on their fall production! Today, they worked on sound effect creation. Mrs. Schultz and the BSMS Theater Department are working with director Tim Thompson, Director of Towngate Theater, Foley and Sound Effects Director Karissa Martin, and professional playwright Pete Fernbaugh, founder, director, and head writer of "Cloak and Dagger on the Air" as they work to create an original radio play. The premier performance of their show "19 Junior Avenue" will be held at Bridge Street Middle School on Friday, October 13th!
